An Introduction to HubPages With Snoopy and Woodstock
91My 100th Hub on HubPages
To commemorate my 100th hub, I wanted to do something special here at HubPages. I wanted to do something memorable, much like my 50th Hub, Why I Write: A Reflection in which I delved into my passion for writing and how it ultimately changed my life, by giving a little back to the incredibly diverse and talented community we have here at HubPages. I also wanted to do a hub on Snoopy and Woodstock as well and couldn't decide on which to do, as I can only have one 100th Hub...And so this happened.
I'd like to dedicate this hub to my close friend and fellow Hubber cosette. I thought it would make perfect sense to dedicate a special hub to a special friend whom I dearly admire and respect and who's been with me nearly my entire time while here at HubPages. I'm proud to say that I was her first fan early on. She, like so many others when new to HubPages, had many questions for me concerning HubPages. Sometimes, I wasn't quite sure how to answer all of them, but made it a point to find the answer as I sincerely felt it my responsibility to help all those who asked for help (with what little I knew). So with that said, I really hope that you do like this hub cosette, as you've inspired me to write this.
Welcome To HubPages!
I remember when first I joined HubPages. I was very shy and was as quiet as a mouse while constantly looking over my shoulder. It reminded me of being a freshman on my first day of high school so many years ago as a stranger in a very strange land. There were upperclassmen all around me and a handful of staff. Some of the people there were even hall monitors which I never experienced before in all my previous schooling. Well, ladies and gentleman, HubPages is very much like high school, at least in this sense, only, you won’t have to worry about being wedgied, taken to the bathroom for a quick swirly (when you are forced head first into a toilet while it's flushing), or being locked up in your own locker (like I was). Nope. You’ll be spared from such extracurricular activities here.
So, if you are indeed new here, I’d like to personally welcome you to HubPages. You’ve taken the first step in the right direction towards online publishing success. Maybe you’ve have not yet published online before or maybe you’re a seasoned veteran with 10+ years experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and are now here to add back links to your blog or domain. While here, you’ll find that the publishing tools are indeed user friendly and that the people or Hubbers are even friendlier. Rest assured, help is always available to those who simply ask.
In a nutshell, HubPages is a social networking and writing
site where you can freely write to your heart’s content and make a bit
of money while doing so. Of course there
are some rules pertaining to this, but are very much in good taste and within reason (for
instance, you can’t post pornography, can’t gamble, or use duplicated content
for your hub articles). HIgh quality, original content will be rewarded with good Hubscores. Not sure what this entails? Click here to find some great examples of the best hubs HubPages has to offer.

Why Snoopy and Woodstock Appear On This Hub
So why in the world did I choose Snoopy and Woodstock to appear in
this hub? To me, Snoopy and Woodstock represent
camaraderie. The two are
inseparable—wherever Snoopy goes, Woodstock
follows. When I think about HubPages,
the first thing that comes to mind is my Followers. Without them I don’t have a readership and
without a readership, I won’t have any traffic.
I once wrote in my intro to one of my Revenge, Inc. installments that
I’m performing for empty seats without my readers and I meant every word of
it. Like with any business, if you don't have a clientele you will consequently fail.

HubPages Tip: You Are Not Alone on HubPages! Seek Answers For All Your Questions Concerning HubPages!
Getting Started On HubPages - The Least You Should Know
Here is a brief grocery list of what you should have when first starting out with HubPages to quickly jump start your success. Time after time, I've seen many people come and go because they didn't know the basics. I've found that they either lack the following or simply didn't have the patience necessary to mature as successful Hubbers:
- Get an Avatar Sounds pretty simple, right? In case you don't know what an avatar is, it's your profile pic that shows others here at Hub Land who you are or who your representing. It's not hard to find a pic on the internet as there are millions to choose from. But for goodness sake, don't leave your avatar blank, as others will in fact be reluctant to get to know you or your work if you don't have one.
- Edit Your Profile Your Profile Page tells the world who you are and what you're about. For instance, if your an airplane pilot, you'll make mention of your experiences of such and so should some or all of your hubs be related to such field. There will be some who will become your fan just from reading your profile, so introduce yourself to others in your profile. As an example, you can read my profile by clicking here.
- Get A Google Account Getting yourself a Google Account or Google Mail (GMail) account is necessary if you want to earn money through Google AdSense. This doesn't necessarily have to be your primary email account (I use Yahoo Mail! as my primary email) here at HubPages, but you need to have one in order to qualify for their Affiliate Program.
- Have Patience Many people come to HubPages with visions of grandeur, about making millions (ha ha) over night. Seriously, even the best bloggers in the world did tons of research and/or had training before they made anything substantial online. If you take the necessary steps in SEO than you will already be ahead of the curve. It took me 5 months to make my first Google AdSense payout. For many others, it takes 6 months or more. There are no shortcuts to online success, I assure you. However, if you are not here to make money, then you won't have to worry about any of this!
- Schmooze It makes sense to be social in a social networking site. Get on the forums and introduce yourself, leave comments on the hubs that you read so the writer KNOWS that you read his or her hub. Participate in everything that you can find to gain notoriety. You need to be visible and a social butterfly if you do want to get noticed here. I've actually made a couple of friends who I correspond with via email and telephone and I met them all on HubPages. It never hurts to network with others.

HubPages Tip: Interact With Others
How To Get Followers On HubPages
Back when I first joined HubPages, what is now referred to
as “Followers” was referred to as “Fans.”
There are some of us still that prefer the old moniker, but whatever: In
accordance with other social networking sites, on Facebook, they’re called
“Friends,” on Twitter, they’re also called “Followers,” and on YouTube, they’re
called “Subscribers.” And if you want to
take it a step further, in Heaven they’re called “Angels” and in Hell, they’re
called “Demons.” I guess Heaven and Hell are social
networks too, right? So be it. Someone once asked me how I was able to get
so many fans in such a small amount of time and I told them that I bribed them
with my sister’s famous egg rolls. Well,
when that didn’t fly, I told them to simply Follow the Golden Rule. In
other words, do onto others as you would want have done onto you. I usually comment A LOT on other people’s
hubs.To be honest, that might actually
be an understatement. At last count,
I’ve commented on over 4,400 hubs and that’s no exaggeration. However, I think my friend prettydarkhorse is
gaining on me. On average, I read about 20 hubs a
day, sometimes more if I have the time. I just do my very best to read those who read me as not only is it a courtesy, but a pleasure to do so. Time is certainly precious to me, as it must be for you, so for people who actually take the time out of their busy lives to read my work, I thank you kindly as it's certainly a blessing. Repaying the favor is certainly in order. I assure you, if you do in fact take the time to read and comment on other people's work, good things will indeed happen.
HubPages Tip: Your Diligence Will Pay Off
Being Active on HubPages
Here at HubPages, you’ll find that
Followers form a symbiotic circle. No
man is an island and no Hubber gets anywhere without a following. So
with that said, get to know as many
Hubbers as you can by being active on the forums, participating in
Princessa's HubMob Weekly Topic, the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Hub Challenge, being nominated for a Hub Nugget, and/or
by reading other people's hubs and make sincere, thoughtful comments.
Although I can't guarantee that after doing so that these same people
will come over and read your hubs and comment, the likelihood of their
doing so stands in your favor. In effect, it's an unspoken courtesy
here at HubPages, but not a rule in such. To be successful here, you have to be active and stay active!
HubPages Tip: Use An Avatar
Finding Your Niche or Niches!
When I first joined HubPages back in July of 2009, I was told that fiction and poetry doesn't do well here.
Me: Really?
Anonymous: Really. Well, for one, they don't make money and two, they don't get much attention.
Well, then you'll have to tell that to my weekly and daily readers (most notably my Revenge, Inc. readers) as I do get a nice dose of traffic from them not to mention a lot of comments (they may however, have a point about the money, ha ha). I'm one of those Hubbers that writes a bit about everything, from import tuner models, to book reviews. From travel destinations to short stories and from product reviews to quick and easy recipes. I just can't bare to write one hundred hubs about insurance, it's not for me but it might be for you. By the way, internet wise, insurance is a very good keyword, albeit a competitive one mind you. The important thing is to share your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the world. If you are a mechanic, perhaps you could write hubs on how to change oil or maybe you're a photographer who doesn't mind sharing his knowledge about proper lighting. You get the idea. By finding a niche and running with it, you become a sort of guru here at HubPages through the course of time and popularity. Here are some good examples here at HubPages:
- Tatjana-Mihaela and Shalini Kagal Both of these ladies are a fountain of information when it comes to alternative healing and Bach remedies. Tatjana-Mihaela is a Reiki-Master Teacher who provides an online service.
- Anime_Nanet Just about anything to do with Japanese anime here at HubPages begins and ends with this guy. He's one of the most dedicated people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
- Mrvoodoo Anything zany, wacky, scary, and fascinating is this guy's bag. I practically read everything he's written as he continues to spark my curious curiosity!
- Anglwu She holds the esteemed position of being a triple threat in fashion, beauty, and personal health. Her hub, Weight Loss Secrets From Around the World is one of my favorites.
- Rebecca E She will always have a larger following than me. Why? Because she has a bigger propensity to help others. Her hubs are testament to that. Make sure you check out her hubs on how to improve yours!
- Peter Dickinson He's the Great Llama of zoology with decades of experience in the field. He's taught me more about Zoos in Asia than anyone else I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
- Randy Behavior She's won several awards right here on HubPages and by her avatar and amazing collection of poetry it's no wonder! Have a look at her hubs.
- Ghost32 This gentleman is one of the most knowledgeable hubbers I know when it comes to trucking school, building a house from scratch and Sarah Palin. He's also one of the most benevolent and respected Hubbers around.
- Wavegirl22 As a siren of the sidelines, this NYC native knows more about the NFL than some NFL players! She stole my heart from the start and refuses to give it back.
- Hypnodude Although he's still technically a newbie, this gentleman from Italy will put a spell on you with his writing (seriously). His talent and penchant to help others is unmatched.
- TattoGuy The man I refer to as El Capitaine has set sail to bring you a schooner of tattoo hubs on just about every body part. He can spin a pretty good yarn too if your up for it.
- Poetlorraine We don't forget our first (follower) and I'm not about to forget mine! She was the first ever to read my work when coming aboard HubPages so long ago. I swear, she has the heart the size of Ireland. Her love for poetry is immense.
- Cris A This guy is really a wizard disguised as a Filipino. As one of my close friends here on HubPages, he can take a handful of dirt and a piece of cardboard and create a masterpiece and sell it on the open market for a king's ransom I'm sure. His writing and Photoshop works are masterpieces.
HubPages Tip: Add Videos To Spice Up Your Hubs
Your Success Depends On You
So why are you here right now? Perhaps you were looking up what "Blogging" was (just like I did) and so stumbled upon HubPages while doing so. Maybe you were looking for a place in which to interact with others live or maybe you simply wanted to share some of your poetry or other writing by publishing online, or maybe you're just looking to make some money like so many others out there on cyberspace. In either case, your success depends on you. If you do in fact want to achieve any of these things and do it effectively, you're going have to put fourth the effort. For instance, if you do want to earn some money with your hubs, you need to do some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and to do that, you're going to have to learn about it. If you want to get noticed here then you have to "notice" others first. If you want to get "street cred" you're going to have to earn it just like everyone else. Everyone started here just like you did to get where they are and your situation is no different. I was once brand new to blogging when first I came onto the HubPages scene and perhaps just like you, I was overwhelmed by the amount of Hubs others have written, the amount of Followers they had, the high Hubberscores they had, and the amount of tenure they had here. But those successful Hubbers are the SAME PEOPLE that helped me along the way, mostly because I asked for it. Remember, they were new too once upon a time. So long as you are willing to listen to more experienced Hubbers and are willing to put forth the effort to succeed, you will succeed. Believe in yourself and you will!
HubPages Tip: Read Others The Way You Would Like To Be Read
Start Building Your Portfolio
As you know, this is my 100th and it's long overdue. I really thought that I'd reach this number two months ago, but no matter. My advice to you? Keep publishing hubs and keep on coming up with novel ideas as your traffic will spike as a result of it. Consistency will pay off. There are some Hubbers that are working on anywhere between 25 and 50 hubs at a time. To do this, all's you have to do is click on SAVE UNPUBLISHED and then come back to it when you get the time. Although I came here to share my writing, I also would like to make some money, so there is a slight division between my hubs--almost 50/50--when it comes to such. But overall, I have fun writing every single one of them. Remember, HubPages is a fun experience so you should treat it as such, so remember to HAVE FUN!!!

Now I know why you have such large number of fans here. :)
Congratulations on your 100th hub! I love this community and the general respect and support we have for one another; I have quite a few who are now my facebook friends. Folks from all paths, cultures, religions, and non religions, just being writers and interacting with one another, how great is that? :)
Loved the Snoopy pics. Made me smile.

Congratulations and here's to at least a thousand more hubs from you. :D
What a good creativity, now i really understand about DoFollow technique,It is just like Snoopy and Woodstock,Congratulation for your 100th hubs and a great hubs for your inspired followers!
Hi my dear friend Dohn, for me you are one of my friend in HB. I will never thought that I could make reel friends on line, but you are certainly one very good friend. I really mean it. I can feel how nice and generous you are just by reading you. I also feel that there is a connection between us and I know its sincere. I am still shy to go to forum, but I certainly read a lot of hubs. I also comment mostly on yours and some other hubbers that I feel confortable with.
BTW my husband loved your short story an he agree with me on the fact that you are a brilliant writer. He also said that you should write books. Congratulation my dear good friend, and thank you for all the tips in this great hub. I know there is a lot of good writers and good hubbers here, but you are one of my favorite. Bless you my dear brother Dohn.:)
dohn, Congratulations on your 100th hub. I am getting close to that number. As so many people have told you, you are a very talented writer. I always enjoy your hubs and I very much appreciate all the kind comments you've made on my hubs.
Go Celebrate for reaching that milesone!
A very very very lovely Hub dohn and it is well-wriiten with heart...
I really enjoyed your hubs minus the long ones, hehehe sorry my dearest friend I know you are an excellent writer but I am very busy and can't find time to read your masterpiece. But still I am here reading your short ones and keep on admiring them, Law of Averages, that is... dohn you are slowly becoming a monster in HP and I hope you will not waver in visiting my Hubs....
So this is your 100th, who cares I love it!!!
A great hub about (in part) two of my favourite cartoon characters. Lots of useful information too. Thanks Dohn for the hub, the mention and the compliment. I seem to be lagging a bit these past few weeks. I will stive to catch up. Congratulations on your hub century.
quite possibly your greatest hub ever. Snoopy, Woodstock *and* bunnies? awesome, Dohn. many congrats and best wishes for your continued success! ~your friend, cosette
100 already! It seems like only yesterday when you first joined. To write 100 hubs in such a short time, and maintain the quality, is an awesome achievement.
Next stop, 200.
Great work and keep entertaining us with your mastery of words :)
I am out of origional commenty stuff to say. I loved the list of hubbers you got there. Just wait 'till PoetL sees it. ;) You really are one helpful, genuinely good person. Im so glad to know you! Great job, once again.
I thought I had the wrong hubber when it said I was shy at the start, yeah rite Dohn you lil romeo lol. Many congrats on the big 100 hubs and a really fitting tribute to the lovely Cosette who I adore. Oh and cheers for the mention, although lately ya have been doing a few good tat hubs yerself lol !
Keep writing moi friend, I will surely keep reading ; )
First of all congratulations DOHN! Do you know that you are on the top list of the people who I respect and admire here, I think what you do in real life -- reflects your activities here at HP, being patience, grateful to people who acknowledge you -- -- it is like being a family -- commenting, reading, patience, advising and being friends to others!
I also like that you dedicate this hub to a nice and warm lady, I always admire cosette and she is a fine LADY!!
I cant forget the little things she did to me, like congrtaulating me for the little things I achieved that I dont notice at all, she will post in the forum just like you. Some times you and the people like her keeps me going.
At times, I sometimes also doubted myself whether I can write at all, my kind of stuff. I dont like really to dwell on the things that I like to write best because it is more of academic and philosophical, and they will become controversial, so you see I dont also dwell on politics, etc. I just write on practical things.
On some points you have written here, I am at it, but others I am not, I will follow your advice now, work on my profile page more and niche ---
patience and sociability I have that already, but I need to work on more confidence and not being shy.
I read a lot of work of others, I like to readworks of those beginner that even if they dont read mine i continue to read theirs so that they may also continue writing.
Thank you for the mention here DOHN< although in all facets of writing here and all other activities I cant even be half your overall goodness!
Thank you Dohn for writing this one, as it shows your gratitude, patience and strong sense of staying the course.
You are a good writer, and I am forever FAN, and I really wish you can publish soon,
Last question, DOHN why 121 anyway, it was your birthday january 21 hehe,
BTW I like Snoopy and Woodstock, they are stalking each other,
CONGRATULATIONS again to a BEST WRITER, more articles ---1000 and beyond, Maita
Well done and congrats! It is indeed a notable milestone.
Thanks for roping in two great crtoon characters. My seven-year-old daughter is just getting into Peanuts and I've been a fan for years.
Keep writing!
Love and peace
Tony
First thanks for mentioning me and for your extremely kind words, they left a sign in my heart.
Second I'll probably never be able to give you back all that you give to me.
Third this hub is wonderful, great, extremely important not only for newbies like me.
Fourth I bookmarked it to check all those hubbers that I don't know at the moment and to remind me of the important things here at HP.
Fifth congratulations for your 100th hubs, many more great ones will come for sure. :)
Sixth the layout is perfect, and Snoopy and Woodstock are perfects too, as examples of "hubbiness".
Seventh I'd like to link it from my Hubbing hub.
Eighth I stumbled it.
Ninth this hub is so good that I'd read it again. I'm extremely happy to be your fan and friend as you are not only a terrific writer but a very good person. I'm sure your future will shine even more than now.
Thanks for this great example of writing ability.
I had to check cosette's hubs and as usual you are right. Her hubs are so good that I had to become one of her fan. Thanks for the good advice mate. :) Now with time I'll check the others.
Way to go Dohn, congrats on your 100th hub. I think I've been a fan of yours since about your 2nd week here and for good reason. You are without a doubt one of the greatest assets here on HP and a model for new hubbers. I'll be around for your next 100 hubs as well as waiting for your news that you've been signed by a huge publishing company. No doubts that day will come! Thank you for all that you do for this great community.
I think this is my favorite hub I've read so far. It has lots of helpful info, and I love snoopy so much! Especially snoopy dancing.
Another good job, Dohn. I'll bet if you put all of the words you have written in comments to other hubbers, you would have enough for 900 more hubs. I think your example of responding to others has paid of-- of course it doesn't hurt that you are a great writer.
One thing I was wondering about the g-mail-- I have an account and I don't use Google mail.
Keep going strong!
Ahh, Congratulations on the big 100th! :) Wonderful hub.. very informative to those whom stumble upon it and with much regard from an upstanding hubber.. One of these days.. I shall read your whole series of "Revenge" :P.. I swear I've read a few, which are great! Just have been on a short attention span for a bit! LOL Very happy to have met you here and the best to your continued success!
You really are a lovely person, and i am glad and so proud of myself that i was your first fan. Thanks for always being so attentive, and encouraging, and for your kind words about me and lots of other hubbers here. I still have not made a penny, and am now looking at search engines etc, before i give up....... I have lots of things in mind that i want to research and write about but if they take lots of time, i would like to earn from them..... Enjoy your bow, you have written a beautiful hub once again, hey your heart is huge too. Thanks for everything.....
Hi, congratulations on your 100th hub! I hope to see many more. I must say I always look forward to your comment whenever I publish a new hub. I am still quite new here and I am getting the hang of it. You are a very positive influence here and I really appreciate you. Congrats again!
Excellent work, Dohn! You are always so encouraging and helpful to everyone, including me. Thanks for all your hard work, for reading mine, for commenting when no one else comments, and most of all for putting your heart in everything you do!
Congratulations on your One Hundreth Hub! Thanks for all the tips in this hub and keep on rolling!
Dohn - WOW, 100 hubs!!! Congratulations!!! What a beautiful, wonderful, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious hub! I really enjoyed this and just wished you had written this earlier when I was lost and meandering around during my first weeks here in HP. I also was too shy to ask questions.
I love Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang too. In fact I have a collection of Snoopy around the world figurines.
Congratulations once again and thank you for this hub!
dohn121- Congratulations on the big "100"
What an accomplishment........... be proud!
Informative and entertaining.......... love the addition of the "Peanuts." They are always good for a smile!

Congrats on the 100th hub Dohn! (And the over 800 fans!) An excellent hub as usual, some really great tips for everyone on HP - not just the newbies ;)
I have to admire your tenacity my friend. You dove right in here and showed a lot of us (well me anyway lol) what can happen when you put your mind to something. (Another example is RedElf...have you been coaching her? LOL) It is very motivational when we get to see the milestones you have achieved in such a short time! Keep up the great work my friend :D
Well done Dohn and congratulations.
This hub is one of the best and most informative ones for "newbies" that I've come across.
Best wishes,
Peter
Congratulations on your 100th hub!!!! This was a great read and I'm definitely bookmarking it to be able to refer others to it. I love reading all your hubs, Dohn, and I thank you for introducing me to some hubbers that I was not yet aware of. Keep 'em coming!
dohn121-Congratulations on your 100th hub. A really terrific achievement.
This hub is astounding from start to finish. I am just amazed at the whole way you put this together. Creative, informative and reflective of your work and your fellow hubbers and friends.
I absolutely love the whole theme with Snoopy and Woodstock. It fits perfect.
You are an inspiration to all!
Sage
Great hub and so true about so many parts of writing! I still feel a little lost most days but trying to just take it a day at a time and keep on writing/trucking. Love all the pics and tips. Congrats on #100!
Dohn what a tribute your fans have given you here on your 100th hub. Your dedication to all of us is greatly appreciated as well as your excellent advice. I liked your comment: "She stole my heart from the start and refuses to give it back." That and countless more little gems help to make HP the witty and warm place it is today. Thank you for a superb article.
Hello Dohn121, Congratz to your 100hubs. It is amazing to read your hubs. They are always full of great info and memorable. I am glad you have many hubs as I can always find the one I need to get me in a good mood. You are a great writer and you worked hard. Reading your hubs just showed that you have a unique code as a writer. We all are different in a way of writing. I wish you all the best for next 100 great hubs! LizzyBoo
HubPages truly is many things to many people, and you make excellent points about patience, persistence, and having fun. Like you I couldn't force myself to write about insurance endlessly, I might need the cash, but not that badly, I'd rather sell blood. =)
Congratulations Dohn, 100 is an amazing milestone to reach,
A HP blog post a while back pointed out that out of 751,000 registered users only 461 hubbers had published more than 100 hubs (34 hubbers had published more than 500 hubs, and only 6 hubbers had published more than 1000). So now in addition to quality, you're now up with the elite for quantity too. =)
And I certainly don't diserve the accolade you've bestowed upon me above, but I do greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks, and best wishes for the next 100.
Take it easy.
A big fat congrat to you dohn on your 100th! You've done it all here - welcomed newbies, laid out the all important basics, acknowledged some awesome Hubbers, gave us a real eye candy layout (love Snoopy stuff), and added your devine wit and wisdom to boot. I learned a lot too having never heard of "a quick swirly":O Here's to you dohn, one of HP's most generous, charming and creative guys.
Congratulations on your 100th hub! A lot of good work went into them all. And this is the BEST introduction to HubPages ever published. I hope they do something to highlight this one, for the new hubbers.
Congratulations Dohn on your 100th hub! You have one of the greatest hearts here in Hubber Land, and you never cease to give. This hub attests to that. Any hubber, new or veteran or in between, will benefit from your thoughtfulness of providing precious insight. Thank you Dohn, for being who you are -- a terrific writer and person with a golden heart! xoxo Beth
Dohn, congratulations to the power of infinity--you deserve a Grammy (truly!). I know you're hard worker, you write terrific hubs and you're one heck of a nice guy! You continue to visit hubbers (such as I) and leave comments after comments, leaving up to your promise to give feedback. And what a celebration--I totally love Snoopy and Wordstock (my personal favorite). That said, thanks for mentioning me--what an honor.
You make many good points about the hows and whys of writing for hubpages. I agree with you--I write for a couple of other websites but I find that hubpages give me the most leeway in terms of creativity and the final execution of the article.
To many more successes here at hubpages--let's bring out the champagne!
The way it took me forever to get down this page I must be the 100th person to comment here ;)
100 Hubs. . Omg D - how do you do it. . better yet how is it that you do it so well. You never cease to amaze me.
Did you know that you were my first 'real' follower . . and from that day you found me. . I knew I found a really special place here on the Hub and I knew I had made a really special friend. . . we bleed blue and we bled bad this winter. . but yes there is always next year.
As far as dedicating the Hub to Cosette . . that is a no brainer for she is one special . .way over the top . .grooviest lady I know here. A wonderful tribute to a wonderful person . .this was pure joy to read.
And it didnt hurt you mentioning me . . being called a siren. . I have been called many things but I think by far this is my most favorite one yet!
There is no doubt I loves you -
Shari
congrats on your 100th hub...what a great analogy to use hubpages and snoopy/woodstock - for a minute there I thought you were doing a tv special :) This is a two fold tribute to hubpages and followers and I am happy to be part of both...

A very Big Congrats on your 100th Hub.
Well done and all your Hubs are very interesting. I like this one with the photies and a big lesson I learnt is getting a Niche. I tend to write about so many Topics. My next Hub will probably be about peanuts. 5 Benefits of eating Peanuts. lol.
I wish I could concentrate on 1 or 2 areas - so will give it a thought.
Its also nice what you noted about being Patient as some people want to start earning lots of dosh the same month they started - you have also encouraged us not to give up.
Much respect to you Dohn.
Best Wishes.

Big hug from a sunny western europe country!

Congratulations on 100 Dohn, You made it to this point with out short cuts as your articles and stories have been well put together. Also some really useful advice on this hub page. Your an excellent writer, I'm looking forward to your next segment. Good luck with all your future plans.
Hey :) I enjoyed reading this a lot. Your style is very down-to-earth and flows well, which is something I am trying to work toward. Keep up the good work!
Wow, you've commented on over 4,400 Hubs in 8 months! No kidding. That's really making use of the social aspect of the network.
Excellent hub with great info! I aspire to write something as great as you did for my 100th hub - I have 7 left until 100 though...I still have a quite a bit to learn! Cheers.
Hey dohn. Congrats again on reaching 100 hubs. Kinda weird that I started a thread on you reaching 100 hubs then I was not able to read your 100th hub :(. Sorry for the miss but I was in an out of town trip and I just sort of popped in and out of HP. But now that I'm back, I immediately went and looked for it. All I can say is, more power to you my friend, more readers, more comments and (dare I say?) more earnings :D. Here's to your next 900 hubs!!!! :D
Thank You for sharing your tips. I am new to hubpages and found your article to be very helpful for someone like me, who is starting out. Congratulations on reaching 100 hubs...that is quite an accomplishment.
I've been thinking about joining and your Hub gave me a ton of information I was looking for, thanks!
Awesome hub dohn! This hub is full of great information. I wish I had seen it a couple of days ago when I was attempting to help a newbie understand steps he needed to take to be successful here. Needless to say, I'm bookmarking this hub for future reference. Rating it up because I love Snoopy and Woodstock.:) And Congrats, on accomplishing your 100th hub. :) Great job!
Wow, thanks for the huge referral, much appreciated!
Thanks, dohn121! This is very encouraging!
Congratulations Dohn on your 100th hub!!!
Good job excellent work sorry I did not get time to see this as I am little busy
A swirly? Oh my word! What did they get up to in your school?!
Yes, now that you say it, I see that about Snoopy and Woodstock! We've got a pizzeria called 'Charlie Brown' just down the road from me - I shall look at it in a new light from now on! (And perhaps that'll give me another excuse to get a pizza more often...thanks!)
Aaagh! Don't talk to me about SEO - I still haven't found out what it is yet! As for the money...well, I don't mean to brag but I must be hitting the $1 mark by now! Ooops, couldn't resist bragging, sorry!
Lovely, lovely hub!

I shall add my congratulations for your 100th to your host of fans/followers/subscribers/angels and demons Dohn. You did a terrific job on this one. It's the one that others will be passing on to the newbies.
You read 20 hubs a day? WOW! I can't seem to find the time to keep up. (as you must be aware - I'm always late to your hubs).
I will hold up your standards as my own goal!
Good job.
Fantastic! Congratulations on your outstanding 100th hub! I have bookmarked this page to read many times. Thanks for all you do. :)
Hello, dohn 21. I just found your hub on Snoopy et al and I'm hooked.
What a creative concept and a very well-written hub with tons of good information for new and experienced hubbers. I'm now your fan - oops! - your follower.
My how you have grown! The Snoopy and Woodstock pics with the rainbow and the beach are great. I had to chuckle at your advice to schmooze. Looking forward to 100 more of your hubs Dohn!
Thanks Dohn you are sweet to mention me. This is quite a hub! A lot of newbies will definitely benefit from it. Poetry does not make money, I can vouch for that. It does feed the soul though. :)
Dang it, dohn, I'm terribly late in congratulating you on your 100th! Now you've gotten to your 108th. You are such a marvelous presence on HubPages, and I am proud to follow your writing career!
You are right about this incredible community Dohn. It really is about building relationships, supporting each other and sharing our lives. Thank You for sharing yours.
You are very right about schmoozing. I did this on eHow and had pretty good success within my first two months! (has a higher payout than the average ehower). I am kinda sorta new to Hubs, but I would like to be more of an active member. Your hub really was a great read (love the snoopy), much success to you!
wow, thankyou this really helped me to get a feel for what exactly i'm doing.
Congratulations on your 100th Hub - I will bookmark this as there is some great advice here. Well done and thank you!
Hello Dohn, You've packed quite a bit of info here while keeping it relevant and personal. At this point, I've just been hubbing for over a month, so I find your advice to be fresh and applicable. You have an open writing style makes your posts unique. Thanks for sharing so richly.
Dohn, this is a great hub. I can't believe how many fans you have and only in a year. I hope some day I will do as well. I can see why you do so well. I will rate and bookmark also Stumbleupon
Thanks for the mail directing me to this hub. It's really useful, and I've already started putting some of the tips into practice. Nice to feel welcomed here, too.
I still haven't read it word for word but I pic up something new each time I peruse this. Thanks for writing it and recommending I read it.
It is great and it would have been much more greater if something had been told about the number of keywords to be used, permitted keyword density, and the minimum and maximum words per article

I'm very new & I really appreciate this!!

Congratulations on your 100th hub! (I cant believe I got to comment first - must be late at night in the USA) What a perfect way to celebrate with Snoopy! Pretty cool. I remember growing up with a Snoopy themed encyclopedia set, and now we have Google. Can't wait to read more of your hubs, you are an inspiration to us all!
